Golf Club Ibar

Borovets is one of the older of the resorts. It is situated 70kms from Sofia, and as a result gets a lot of weekend skiing from Sofia. It is located in the Rila mountain range and is 2925m above sea level. It was developed as a luxury resort and has plenty of amenities available.

Because of its northern position, it is the coldest of the three resorts, The average temperature during the coldest month, January is -4.6 degrees. It has hosted many cup competitions and its biathlon track is one of the best in Europe.

The Rila Mountain – the highest mountain of the Balkan Peninsula with more than a hundred hills which have an altitude over 2000metres, A National Park. It's territory us mostly covered by ancient woods of spruce, white fir and white pine-trees and the highest parts are rocky. There are rock walls, precipices, caves deep canyons and waterfalls. On it's territory are situated 120 lakes, 70 of which are form the Ice Age. The most high water and the longest river of the Balkan Peninsula rise form the Rila mountain. There are resorts and settlements with splendid conditions for resting, tourism and balneotherapy. Here is situated the ski-centre Borovetz, a high mountain resort, which is at the foot of the highest peak of the Balkan Peninsula – Musala 2925m. It is on 70km form the capital of Bulgaria – Sofia . Luxury hotels, villas, restaurants, clubs, bars, shops, ski-wardrobes and equipment of a world standard are at your service. In the Rila mountain is the largest monastery in Bulgaria – the Rila Monastery, founded in 10th century. It is counted in the list of historical monuments of culture of UNESCO with a world-wide significance.
